It’s Begun… 2010 -

The Golf season is about to begin and it is under a cloud: Tournaments not solvent, lost sponsors, prize money on the retreat, and the number-one on the Tour for drawing an audience in a pinch. Can we go anywhere but up…?

That depends first and foremost on the fans. Can they find somebody on the Tour that excites them to turn on the TV week after week?  Will the fans tune in for all four days or just the final hours on Sunday? The impact is on ROI (Return on Investment) for Sponsors that are expected to pay out big bucks for advertising time during the broadcast. Those big bucks come out of the fans pockets when they buy the services, items, or travel to the destinations that are put in front of them. If the Tours cannot get the viewers, they will not get the customers to support the Sponsors. It’s a vicious cycle.

So, if the chips are down, it must be a good time for opportunity. Now would be a good time for some smaller companies to buy into a golf tournament and build their names…think about…
